VAPAHCS Human Blood and Blood Related Products Questions and Answers 36C26126Q0165 QUESTION: I noticed that the volumes suggest the Palo Alto VA uses 1400 Autologous RBCs. Can you help me understand why? Typically, we do not see this many autologous units given at any of the hospitals we currently service, so I m curious to understand the reasoning or patient population(s) that are requiring autologous RBCs. ANSWER: 1400 is a typo. On our last contract we indicated 15 units- see chart below. We rarely get autologous RBCs. We had 2 between 8/2024 and 8/2025. The 1400 has been corrected Please see updated Price List (36C26126DXXXX_PRICE LIST_V2). QUESTION: There is a small, steady number of HLA-specific products and testing. Can you share with me the types of patient populations that are being treated and need this type of testing (i.e, Transplant, oncology, etc.)? ANSWER: The majority of these orders come from the Transplant/Cardiology Department. QUESTION: The response date is January 19th, 2026. However, given the extended holiday period and many key individuals out of the office for various periods, it is unlikely we will meet the submission date, particularly since we will likely need to redline the solicitation to have agreed-upon terms for the award. If the start is not until June, we ask that the submission date occur at the beginning of March. ANSWER: The RFQ Close Date has been extended to January 26, 2026. QUESTION: Just so I am clear, the request is for us to complete the 36C26126DXXXX_PRICE LIST.xlsx spreadsheet with our pricing and part numbers for the five ordering periods and return that and the signed RFQ back to you by January 16, 2026. I do not need to do this through the SAM.gov site. ANSWER: Correct. This is a new solicitation, please follow the instructions in the solicitation document. QUESTION: Would there be an opportunity for us to add new products and remove products/services we no longer perform? There would be no volume commitment. It is just a way for us to have all the products and services we offer as part of the agreement. ANSWER: Yes QUESTION: If so, can I adjust the spreadsheet? ANSWER: Yes, you are free to adjust the spreadsheet. As a courtesy, please just highlight the changes you make to it.
