This is a Sources Sought announcement only this is not a Request for Proposal or Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with capabilities to perform Interventional Radiology Services at the James J. Peters (JJP) VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in the Bronx, New York. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, and the JJP VAMC anticipate awarding a firm fixed-price contract approximately 4/15/2026 for the following: Overview: The Contractor shall provide onsite Board-Certified Interventional Radiology (IR) Physician Services in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the James J. Peters VAMC, in the Bronx, NY. VA Radiology Services are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and follow the standards & guidelines set forth by ACR. Onsite IR services provided by the contractor shall meet or exceed the American College of Radiology Guidelines https://www.acr.org/. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain interest from contractors who would be capable of providing services at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621111 - Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists), Small Business Size Standard $16.0 Million. Key Personnel: The Contractor shall provide 2,080 hours of Board-Certified Interventional Radiology Physician Services. Contract physician(s) shall be responsible for providing Interventional Radiology procedures, including, but not limited to: Angiography Biliary Intervention Balloon Angioplasty/Stent Placement Biopsy Chemoembolization Cholecystostomy Cryoablation Drain Insertions Dialysis Access & Related Interventions Embolization Gastrostomy IVC filters Kyphoplasty Line Insertion Microwave Ablation Radiology Y90 Radioembolization Radiofrequency Ablation Thrombolysis TIPS placement Nephrostomy Placement The contractor shall provide on-call physician services on all weekends, weeknights, and Federal Holidays. The contractor shall provide unscheduled coverage at the VA during periods when VA radiologist is on unscheduled leave. Contract radiologist shall be on-site within 2 hours of the VA request for coverage. Contract Interventional Radiologist shall be on-site within 45 minutes to perform emergency procedures during on-call hours. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing coverage to the VA during periods of Contractor personnel vacancies due to sick leave, personal leave, vacations and additional coverage as required. In the event a scheduled physician is unable to complete an assigned shift, the contractor shall provide replacement physician coverage within 2 hours. According to the guidelines dictated by the Residency Review Committee of ACGME, the contractor s physician(s) performing the services shall be responsible for residents. The contract Interventional Radiologist will be asked to obtain VA clinical privileges and be formally authorized to be an attending physician for physician residents.
