Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: KCI Annual/Daily Wound V.A.C. Rentals: BASE+4 YEAR BPA THIS IS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE FOR KCI ANNUAL/DAILY WOUND V.A.C.® RENTALS BPA FOR VAMC SAN DIEGO: This is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 22 Long Beach intends to award a four (4)-year, Base-Plus-Four (4) -Year, Firm Fixed Price, new, Single Source BPA (Blanket Purchase Agreement) to sustain streamlined procurement and administration of Annual/Daily KCI Wound V.A.C.® Rentals, to KCI USA, Inc. (Solventum). KCI USA is the sole authorized distributor to the Government for the KCI Daily Wound V.A.C.® Rentals. KCI is the sole FSS holder for the Daily Wound V.A.C.® Rental on FSS: 36F79723D0119. VISN 22 Long Beach and VAMC San Diego have standardized to the KCI brand Wound V.A.C.® daily rentals for the provision of NPWT (Negative pressure Wound Therapy) for various applications of wound treatments. The proposed B+4-Year BPA for annual renewals for Daily Wound V.A.C.® Rentals will afford continuity of the KCI Wound V.A.C.® Rentals for the B+4 Year Period of 05/06/26 - 05/05/27. The authority for applying this statute implemented for restricting competition on this procurement is FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) per the requirements of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The intent is to procure the rentals for the KCI Wound V.A.C.® mentioned above on a single source basis. No solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The primary North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112: Suction Therapy Apparatus Manufacturing. The most current Business Size Rating for this NAICS is 1000 employees. Capable parties may identify their interests and authorization to respond to this requirement by March 20th, 2025, at 12:00 PM (PST). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
