Description
Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five (5) year ordering period on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis for the overhaul and new manufacture of long life gyroscope (also known as the peanut gyroscope), NSN - 6615-01-063-7235, Part Number (P/N) 7517308, for the Gyro Block Assembly (GBA) of the MK-82 Guided Missile Director for US Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers, with an estimated total of $9.9M. The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, U.S. Dynamics Corporation, 425 Bayview Ave, Amityville, NY 11701, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is being solicited on a sole source basis; market research was conducted in accordance with FAR Part 10. U.S. Dynamics is the only approved source of supply for this Rate Integrating Gyroscope, per the Distribution D Drawing. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division intends to issue a solicitation on a sole source basis for an anticipated IDIQ contract that will cover a five-year ordering period. The Government intends to award FFP, five (5) year IDIQ contract. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination, Inspection and Acceptance: Inspection and Acceptance at destination. Data deliverables are in accordance with Contract Data Requirement Lists, DD 1423s. The Solicitation and Specifications will be made available on SAM.gov. No hard copies of the Solicitation will be mailed. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Contractors must be properly registered in the Government System for Award Management database (SAM). Contractors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation of requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220, or via the internet at www.sam.gov. The technical data package may contain information that is export controlled. Only those companies that have completed the DD Form 2345 and are certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in an active status are authorized to receive export-controlled information.
