Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to negotiate and award a Sole-Source Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-23-G-0002 to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, 6900 Main Street, P.O. Box 9731, Stratford, CT. 06615 for the non-recurring engineering required to support firmware updates to the Integrated Processing Cabinets (IPC) internal Commercial Ethernet Switch (CES) for the CH-53K� Heavy Lift Helicopter. The proposed contract action(s) identified above are those for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� Note: This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The Government does not intend to fund the development or qualification of other sources for fulfilling this requirement, as production for the supplies listed requires a substantial initial investment or an extended period of preparation for manufacture. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
