Description
Synopsis for the proposed - Sea Bright to Manasquan, New Jersey FY 26 Renourishment Background Information The New York District (NAN) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform work to provide coastal storm risk management through the construction of a beach berm in the communities of Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, and Long Branch in Monmouth County, NJ. The scope of work includes all work necessary to complete the construction of the beach berm. This work includes, but may not be limited to, the placement of approximately 595,000 cubic yards (CY) of Beachfill in the base bid. There are multiple options with quantities varying from 155,000 CY to 348,000 CY, totaling 791,000 CY of optional beachfill placement. The contract also includes an option for remobilization/demobilization. All necessary permits required for construction shall be obtained by the Contractor. Rights of entry shall be obtained by USACE. The Contractor will be required to meet all conditions pertaining to the dredging and Beachfill work as specified in these permits, including adherence to environmental windows and a strict no-work period between March 1 and October 15. The Contractor will be required to commence work within five (5) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall prosecute work diligently to substantially complete all work within the time periods provided, targeting a construction completion by March 2027. The work is estimated to cost between 35,000,000 to 75,000,000. The solicitation package is anticipated to be ready for Bid on or around July 1st, 2026. It is the intention of the Government to award the contract on or around July 30th, 2026 Liquidated Damages are to be determined. Liquidated damages shall be assessed by the calendar day of delay until all work under the contract is accepted. This is an unrestricted procurement.
