Description

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. AMENDMENT 01: The following Addendum is being issued for the subject Request for Quotation: SLAC_360311_Diamond Crystals Answers to Questions: 1. Since delivery address is not provided in the solicitation, could you please provide us with the same? SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory 2575 Sand Hill Road Menlo Park CA 94025 United States 2. Do you need mono-sectorial or multisectorial diamond plates? Mono-sectorial diamond is preferred. Multi-sectorial diamond is acceptable but need to keep the largest sector to be >50% of the surface. This Addendum modifies the Request for Quotation and must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all addenda could make your proposal non-responsive. Please confirm that the submitted proposal is not changed because of this addendum. If proposal sent is revised because of this, please submit the revised proposal. The following changes are hereby made to the appropriate documents contained the above-mentioned Request for Quotation (RFQ). All other terms and conditions of the RFQ remain the same. SLAC has a requirement for a U.S. domestic end item source of the following: High quality HPHT diamond crystals for XPP X-ray optics Quantity: 2 Pc Size: more than 3mm x 4mm x 0.5mm; Main crystal surfaces need to be (1 1 0) The award will be made based upon the attached Lowest Price Technically Acceptable method (LPTA). Technical evaluation criteria are as follows: Diamond crystals need to be grown by HPHT Size of crystals: >3mm x 4mm x 0.5mm; Crystal surfaces = (1 1 0) Distortion and strains < 15 urad in 1mm x 1mm area Marking of Proprietary/Confidential Information. Offerors shall properly mark and identify with a restrictive legend or information markings on pages of the proposal that contain Proprietary/confidential information. For Offeror to be eligible for a subcontract award with the University and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Offeror shall be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). Entities may register at no cost directly at the SAM website: https://www.sam.gov. The resulting purchase order shall be performed in accordance with SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory's Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services dated August 2023.
