Description
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Base Support Branch (AFLCMC/PZIBB) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), OH intends to award a sole source contract to: Lazar scientific, inc 12692 Sandy DR STE 116 Granger, Indiana 46530 This requirement is for the purchase of one (1) base year with two (2) option years. CLIN ITEM QUANTITY 0001 FIJI Cartridge (100), pack of 100, includes filter (item SA5005-100) 12 packs 0002 FIJI Verification Fluid, 30ppm, 100ml (item SETA-0112-0004) 5 bottles 0003 FIJI Verification Fluid, 100ppm, 100ml (item SETA-0112-0005) 5 bottles 1001 FIJI Cartridge (100), pack of 100, includes filter (item SA5005-100) 12 packs 1002 FIJI Verification Fluid, 30ppm, 100ml (item SETA-0112-0004) 5 bottles 1003 FIJI Verification Fluid, 100ppm, 100ml (item SETA-0112-0005) 5 bottles 2001 FIJI Cartridge (100), pack of 100, includes filter (item SA5005-100) 12 packs 2002 FIJI Verification Fluid, 30ppm, 100ml (item SETA-0112-0004) 5 bottles 2003 FIJI Verification Fluid, 100ppm, 100ml (item SETA-0112-0005) 5 bottles The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Purchase Order and carried out as a sole source action (not competitively awarded). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This NAICS code has a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The Aerospace Fuels Laboratory at the Air Force Petroleum Office (AFPET) uses the FIJI FAME Instrument, Model SA5000-2 to determine Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) content in Aviation Turbine Fuel. Each test requires the use of one (1) cartridge and one (1) filter, which are packaged and sold together in quantities of 100 as item SA5005-100. Additionally, testing requires the use of verification fluids - SETA-0112-0004 and SETA-0112-0005. The FIJI FAME instrument, its parts, and consumables are exclusively sold by the US distributor Lazar Scientific in the United States. Therefore, Lazar Scientific is the only vendor capable of meeting the Government�s requirements at this time. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All responses received by 6 May 2026 @ 1200 Eastern Time will be considered by the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes.
