Description

This is a requirement from 374th Civil Engineering Squadron to replace an aging railload crossing system that is located westside of Yokota Air Base, Japan. The railroad, its related system and equipment belong to East Japan Railway Company (JR East). JR East and Yokota Air Base established an agreement for the construction, the inspection and the maintenance in 1970. This requirement for replacement of aging railroad crossing system is a part of the maintenence under the agreement. Due to the circumstances described herein, this activity requests authority to acquire a replacement service deemed sole sourced to East Japan Railway Company as No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This action will result in the award of a new Purchase Order with firm-fixed price of JPY104,790,000.
