Description
The Government intends to release a firm fixed price request for proposal, sole source, to Symetrics Industries, LLC CAGE 22830 dba Extant Aerospace on or beofre December 11, 2025, 11:59PM for the maufacture of the AN-APN 232 Combined Altitude Radar Altimeter (CARA) Receiver-Transmitter. NSN: 5841-01-349-9175, PN: 8010000788-1, Receiver Transmitter, QTY 11 The AN-APN 232 Combineed Altitude Radar Altimeter (CARA) Receiver-Transmitter, the (RT) transmits a signal to the earth�s surface, receives the reflected signal, processes the information, and provides the resulting altitude-related data from 0 to 50,000 feet to various avionics systems. The Receiver-Transmitter (R/T) houses all the components and electronic circuitry necessary to function as the emitter and receptor of radio frequency (RF) energy and to process the altitude information contained in the received signal. The R/T provides main and auxiliary analog and digital altitude outputs to interface with altitude-dependent systems and displays. All of the above R/T outputs are independent and the loading or malfunction of any output does not affect any other. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Symetrics Industries, LLC CAGE (22830) dba Extant Aerospace, which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Symetric Industries, LLC dba Extant Aerospace is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the RT performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.
