Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.506, FAR 26.2, and 15 U.S.C 637 to a certified Woman Owned Small Business concern. The anticipated contract will provide emergency embankment repair and shoal removal services to restore flood-risk management capability at Bennetts Creek in Canisteo, NY. The anticipated period of performance completion is 1 June 2026. Estimated Value for this contract is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 Authority: This procurement is being conducted as a sole source under the WOSB Program in accordance with FAR 19.506 and as a local area set-aside for major disaster or emergency assistance activities in accordance with FAR 26.202-1(b) and FAR 26.202-2. The Government is restricting competition to WOSB concerns that are: Located in the disaster area of FEMA Declaration 4825-DR-NY; and Currently registered in SAM.GOV under the Disaster Response Registry The government intends to negotiate only with Mohawk Valley Materials Inc. (CAGE: 5EYJ7), an SBA Certified Woman-Owned Small Business in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(b)(7) This is not a request for quotes. No formal solicitation will be issued. This is a notice of the Government�s intent to award on a sole-source basis and does not constitute a solicitation. Interested parties may identify their capability to meet this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement, technical documentation, or other relevant information no later than 16 October 2025. Responses received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
