Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a pipeline dredging contract for the Matagorda Ship Channel, Texas, Matagorda Peninsula to Point Comfort. Project Information: The work consists of Schedule No. 1 - Matagorda Ship Channel, Section 1 thru 21 (Sta. 15+000 to Sta. 118+502), pipeline maintenance dredging of approximately 3,943,000 cubic yards, and placement into various Open Water Placement Areas and also Sundown Island. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 241 calendar days/dredging rate of 600,000 cubic yards per month. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $2,607.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after receipt of the notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million (Dredging). The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 July 2019. Response date is 19 Aug 2019 @ 2:00 PM (CST) (All bids must be submitted electronically via www.FBO.gov). The estimated award date for this project is September 2018.
