Description
Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a modification under an existing sole-source contract N0001921C0064 to L-3 Technologies, Inc. for the procurement of 233 additional Modernized Radios. The Government anticipates adding the 233 Modernized Radios, increasing the quantity on contract from 1,654 to 1,887. Contract award is anticipated for first quarter fiscal year 2022 and the anticipated delivery will begin 13 months after contract award. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). NAVAIR intends to negotiate and award this modification utilizing other than full and open competition pursuant to the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Suppliers or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirement�. L-3 Technologies is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Modernized radios, and as such, is the only qualified manufacturer possessing the technical documentation, special skills, experience, and active production facility required to manufacture the radios and meet the Government�s requirements.
