Description

The Department of Energy (DOE), Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Rocky Mountain Region (RMR), intends to acquire, on a sole source basis, critical breaker parts for Siemens SP Type Breaker from Siemens Energy, 4400 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32826. Based upon Market Research, including inquiries to Siemen�s Energy, the following parts must be obtained directly from Siemens Energy: Part Number Description P3R72181783801 Air Compressor P3R4042B02H01 Control Valve Repair Kit/Service Kit P3R5494C58H03 120V Coil Pilot Valve P3R5494C58H04 Main Valve, Control Valve P3R4042B01H01 Pilot Valve Repair Kit/Service Kit The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 Commercial Items and RFO Part 6.103-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS/QUOTES. interested sources may submit a capability statement which is tailored to this specific requirement and shall include verification from Siemens Energy stating Siemens Energy will allow the interested source to sell the products directly to the Government. Capability statements must be received NO LATER THAN 12:00 p.m. MDT, on May 11, 2026, and shall include documentation on Responsible/interested sources ability to satisfy all the Government�s requirements as indicated above. Responses/Capability Statements shall be emailed to the Contracting Officer, Carol L. Hammans, hammans@wapa.gov, with the following in the subject line: 89503226QWA000725 - Notice of Intent Response. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
