Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with TPS LLC, 2821 Old Route 15, New Columbia, Pennsylvania, 17856. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide a 40 cu.ft. Tenney Environmental Test Chamber and TPS Model WIT 112 Chamber for the FBI. The FBI has prepared a Sole Source justification on a basis of other than full and open competition for the acquisition of the test chamber needed. A copy of this sole source justification is available upon request. TPS LLC is the sole manufacturer of these devices and does not authorize any other vendor to resell. TPS is uniquely qualified to provide the Tenney Environmental Test Chamber to the Ballistic Research Facility based upon the fact that the Ballistic Research Facility has utilized the exact same equipment in various sizes from TPS for decades. The operating system and precise controls are well known to the Ballistic Research Facility staff and therefore give continuity to testing.
