Description
INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20 anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price Construction Contract to Project Number 687-24-101 Demolish and Regrade Connecting Corridor, Walla Walla VA Medical Center - Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center, 77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla, WA 99362-3975. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor and materials to demolish the connecting corridor, restore or repair the exterior features that are touching the corridor, and relocate all utilities that are still active from underneath the corridor in trenches below grade. Sidewalks, staircases, ramps and some landscaping will be added where indicated after demolition and utility relocation has occurred. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation is anticipated to be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS Code is 238910 with a size standard of $19 Million. The period of performance is anticipated to be 365-Calendar Days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
