CH-53K Electrical Optical (EO) / Infrared (IR) Sensor System Competition

Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program (PMA 261), intends to issue a full and open solicitation for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the Electrical Optical (EO) / Infrared (IR) Sensor System for the CH-53K program. The contract will include non-recurring engineering, engineering support, program support, production (forward fit, retrofit, spare sensor systems and adapter plates (if necessary)), testing, logistics, data, and production reach back support. This effort has an estimated performance period of approximately seven (7) years. The place of contract performance is expected to be at the contractor�s facility. This posting supersedes any previous posts on this effort. This is not a commercial buy and therefore the Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. ANTICIPATED DRAFT SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The Government anticipates releasing a draft solicitation on or about 2nd Quarter 2026. INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT / INDUSTRY DAY: The Government advises industry of its intent to conduct an Industry Day on or about 17 December 2025. Questions and/or feedback on the draft RFP should be submitted to the contacts below no later than 5 December 2025. Further information will be under a separate notification.
