Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services Division (VS), is seeking manufacturers to provide plastic tamper evident low frequency radio frequency identification (LF RFID) 840 USDA Official ID button-type cattle approved ear tags. These tags are utilized nationwide for the official identification of cattle. Venders must be a current manufacturer of a USDA approved official low frequency 840 devices approved for cattle prior to the solicitation closing date. The following is a link to the Device standards and approval process: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/sites/default/files/animal-id-device-standards.pdf The Contractor(s) shall furnish all the needed supplies, shipping, and equipment, to provide the ear tags including applicators. The award of one or more Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) commercial supply contract(s) are anticipated for these RFID ear tags. The anticipated period of performance for this contract is five years from the date of award. Interested manufacturers must be a qualified manufacturer of USDA approved low frequency 840 tags and applicators. The offered tags must be approved program devices, or the offeror must have submitted an acceptable devise application for approval prior to award. The Government intends to provide the full package for solicitation number 12639526Q0001 and all amendments via this web site. Interested vendors should express their interest by emailing the Jason.L.Wilking@usda.gov. The email will include confirmation, their firm manufactures approved plastic tamper evident low frequency radio frequency identification (LF RFID) 840 USDA Official ID button-type, cattle/bison approved ear tags, business size (size standard for NAICs code 334419 is 600 employees), country of manufacture, and excess monthly/annual production that may be utilized to manufacture devises to support the Cattle traceability program
