Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Computer-to-Itaglio Plate (CTIP)-III Stainless Steel Upgrade The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on behalf of the Office of Engraving. The contract will precure upgraded stainless-steel plates compatible with the Office of Engraving�s CTIP-III intaglio laser engraving machine at the Eastern Currency Facility (ECF). The plates are proprietary and can only be acquired from Koenig & Bauer (K&B) Banknote Solutions. Therefore, the Government intends to award a sole source contract to K&B in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information, or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
