Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The 22nd Contracting Squadron (22 CONS/PKA) at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, is searching for qualified, small business vendors capable of providing a temporary lease/rental of touchless walkthrough screening systems. The contractor shall provide all management, personnel, equipment, supplies, supervision, and other non-personal services necessary to deliver, install, calibrate, maintain, and remove the equipment for the FY26 "Frontiers in Flight" Air Show. Core Requirements: Walkthrough Screening Hardware: Lease of three (3) dual-lane touchless walkthrough screening units providing six (6) active screening lanes (Base Period), with options to scale up to five (5) units and ten (10) active lanes. On-Site Technical Support: At least one (1) certified technician on site during all public hours (0700 to 1800 daily, 23�25 October 2026) to manage setup, calibration, and real-time troubleshooting. Signage & Accessories: Provision of all necessary operational signage and non-metallic collection trays (scaling from 24 up to 40 trays depending on options exercised). SFS Operator Training: Hands-on operational and troubleshooting training for designated Security Forces operators, to be completed on-site by 1000 on Friday, 23 October 2026. The leased equipment must meet all salient technical characteristics, including network-independent (offline) operation, a minimum throughput of 3,600 people per hour per unit, and continuous outdoor operational capability (under tents) in temperatures between 35�F and 105�F. See the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for detailed information on the scope of work and requirements. As part of its market research, 22 CONS/PKA is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if an adequate number of qualified, interested small businesses exist that are capable of fulfilling this requirement. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of 22 CONS/PKA market research. No Solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which the 22 CONS/PKA can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a Solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought. All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition-sensitive information contained in their response. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. 22 CONS/PKA will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought. Do not submit pricing information in response to this Sources Sought. The deadline for submitting questions is Wednesday, 17 June 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CST. The deadline for all submissions/responses is Wednesday, 24 June 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CST.
