Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS. The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (GPAIHS), Aberdeen, South Dakota, hereby submits a Notice of Intent to Award a sole source, firm fixed-price, purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.103-1(b), Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This Sole Source Purchase Order will be awarded to Matheson Tri-Gas, UEI: FE71DET4RML7. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is: 325120 � Industrial Gas Manufacturing. The object of this sole source award is to provide Medical Gas Services; a variety of medical and non-medical bottled gas tanks, a variety of reserve bottles, and air filters to the facility, in accordance with the applicable NFPA standards for healthcare for the Cheyenne River Health Center (CRHC), Indian Health Service, Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Matheson Tri-Gas has the equipment in place and can provide the supplies/services to ensure uninterrupted patient care for a Period of Performance of One (1) Base Year and Four Option Years. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the agency. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. The determination not to compete the proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received normally will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
