Description
Slack is a chat client, specialized for software developers, that provides us with a centralized way to communicate in our Biomedical Data Translator program. Slack is unique in its support for asynchronous discussions on code and integration with existing software development resources like GitLab (which is the software repository deployed in this project), continuous integration tools like Jenkins, and application monitoring. The Translator program provides awards to work with NCATS on developing new tools for data integration, integrating together 6 teams across 16 sites, all of whom are already heavy users of the Slack platform.
