Description

This announcement serves as a synopsis for informational purposes only. IT IS NOT AN RFQ. Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) intends to solicit for one (1) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) and ancillary equipment. The CNC HMC shall be new and one of the manufacturer�s current models capable of operation in accordance with the requirements herein. The machine will be a cast or molded frame (not a welded steel frame). The CNC HMC shall be capable of operation in manual jog mode, semi-automatic, or fully automatic cycle. The machining center shall use standard ISO programming format for computer numerical controlled machine tools. It will include all required software and hardware necessary to program and operate the CNC HMC from the machine�s control panel. The control will include basic level Question and Answer with Graphics conversational assist programming for basic machining. The CNC control will accept programs from an off-line programming system. The CNC HMC shall have precision linear guide ways, precision spindle bearings, flood coolant system, through spindle coolant system, work light, full enclosure, spare parts list, maintenance and instruction manuals, standard set of wrenches and keys for the CNC HMC and its accessories. All parts subject to wear, breakage, or distortion shall be accessible for adjustment, replacement, and repair.
