Description
Description of Anticipated Requirement: The United States Air Force (USAF) has a need to field a system capable of addressing the issues posed by Degraded Visual Environments (DVE). The HH-60W DVES solution shall provide real-time hazard detection in both enroute and terminal areas, displaying this information clearly on cockpit and cabin displays. It shall be designed to function effectively in a variety of DVE, including those created by ambient/aritificial conditions such as smoke, smog, snow, night sand/dust, etc and aircraft-induced conditions such as brownout/whiteout. This effort will consist of the material solution and all non-recurring engineering required to install a DVE solution on to the HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopter, including the design, development, testing, integration, procurement, installation, and deployment of the DVES kits. Anticipated Contract Period of Performance: One (1) base period of twenty-four (24) months with One (1) Ordering Period and One (1) Option to turn on Ordering Periods 2-6. This establishes an total potential period of performance of eight (8) years.
