PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR LIBERTY PARK PIPELINING, CROWN POINT, LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA (USACE ACQUISITION)

Description

This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, "Liberty Park Pipelining, Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana (USACE Acquisition)." PROJECT INFORMATION: The project work involves lining up to 1,100 linear feet of 12-inch sewers, 500 linear feet of 10-inch sewers, and 9,000 linear feet of 8-inch sewers in Crown Point�s Liberty Park neighborhood. Up to thirty-eight (38) manholes would be rehabilitated to reduce inflow and infiltration. The work will take place within the existing easements and rights-of-way. The contractor will be required to provide a maintenance of traffic plan, survey existing utility lines, and acquire any necessary permits prior to construction to resolve potential issues regarding the implementation of this project. The project limits for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project are in the roadway right-of-way along Cedar Street, Sycamore Street, Maple Street, Birch Street, and Oak Street. The project area is bound by Lewis Street to the north, North Main Street to the east, and Maple Street to the south and west. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $39.5 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids ��IFB�) will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("System for Award Management"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files. The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about August 30, 2022, with bids due on or about September 29, 2022.
