THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT OFFERS. Southwestern Power Administration (SWPA), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is issuing a sources sought notice. The Sources Sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to determine the interest and capability of industry to participate in a competitive acquisition for disposal of twenty-five (25) potential and/or current transformers (PT/CT) located in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Springfield, Missouri. The tentative North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code selected for this acquisition is 562211, Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal, with a small business size standard of $47,000,000. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is S222 - waste treatment/storage. Interested parties must submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capability to meet the Government�s requirements. Capability statements should include general information and detailed technical background sufficient to demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements in the attached Draft Performance Work Statement. If a subcontractor is being used, please state so. Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part), procured through full and open competition, or procured on a sole source basis. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged. The Government will not provide evaluations or comments on responses received; however, responses will be used solely to inform the Government of the most appropriate means of procuring this requirement. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
