Description
Amendment A0002 589A6-26-449 Resurface Campus Roads, Leavenworth Questions 01-11 1. What are the key personal requirements? Of the project manager, superintendent, safety, and quality control who can wear dual hats for each role. How many of the key personnel are required to be on-site during construction? Response: See solicitation for roles, these roles will be strictly adhered to too and any changes will still require a confirmed qualification of that role. Of the 4-key personnel listed the desire is to have the Safety Officer, Site Superintendent, Quality Control and Project Manager on site. However, if there is work going on the Site Superintendent must be on site at all time, if not the CO will issue a stop work at the expense of the contractor. 2. Can you provide the site visit sign in sheet? Response: See amendment A0001 in SAMS for those who were in attendance. 3. Can you provide an additional site visit? If an organized site visit cannot be accommodated, are we able to view the site for field measurements? Response: no, an additional site visit will not be scheduled. Normally that is not granted due to the time it takes to schedule the initial site visit. Recommend you use the specs and drawings as your measure of cost. 4. Can you provide quantities of 2 mill and overlay? Response: Drawing sheet is stationed and notes limits of work. Also see SOW and specs. 5. Can you provide quantities of curb and gutter to be removed and replaced? Response: Drawing sheet is stationed and notes limits of work. Also see SOW and specs. 6. Can you provide quantities of concrete paving to be removed and replaced? Response: Drawing sheet is stationed and notes limits of work. Also see SOW and specs. 7. Can you provide a marked-up plan showing the scope of work? Drawing NO. 160-L7 has no annotations of the scope of work on the drawing. Response: See SOW and specs for details. Also see notes on Drawing. 8. Specification section 32 12 16 Asphalt Paving Section 2.4 & 3.6 call for a seal coat to be applied to the asphalt. Where will this be required? If required on the new asphalt, will we be required to wait 1 year for application or will the section 3.6 D. (Seal coating asphalt less than a year) be preferred? Response: Delete seal coat. 9. Specification section 32 05 23 Cement And Concrete For Exterior Improvements Section 3.19 Concrete Protective Coating calls for a salt guard sealant to be applied after the concrete has been cured and backfilled. Will this be required on all curb/gutter and paving? Response: Pavement only. 10. Will sod or seeding be required in backfilled areas with grass? If so, are we required to use sod or seed? Response: Seeding will be acceptable. 11. Will a licensed surveyor be required for this project? The scope of work covers remove and replace work; there should be no need for a surveyor on this project. Response: Only as required per specifications. Final END of Questions
