Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company and Rockwell Collins, Inc. in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1(b), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements; (b) One responsible source. Agencies may contract without providing for full and open competition when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. For DoD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, this authority extends to situations where only a limited number of responsible sources can satisfy agency requirements, for the procurement of Flexible Confined Detonating Cord, Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) MS91 and MS92. This notice is intended for subcontracting opportunities only; it is not a request for competitive proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this announcement is 325920 with a size standard of 750 employees. This synopsis does not constitute an RFP and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose.
