Description

Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source. The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, Miami VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16th St, Miami, FL 33125 intends to award a firm fixed price sole source Contract to Boston Scientific under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for TheraSphere Y-90 Glass Microspheres, a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved treatment for liver cancer therapy. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325412, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,300 employees. This solicitation is generated for the purpose of posting this notice. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) soliciting from one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted.
