Description
A fully coordinated Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been attached to this notice for review. Source Sought Notice � Intent to increase capacity of JB CHS MACC from $96M to $161M. Description The 628th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Charleston, SC intends to award sole source contracts to the 3 current HUBZone Multiple Award Construction Contract {MACC) contract holders, Outside the Box, Hightower Construction and A Plus K&K JV, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the work. The purpose of the sole source is to increase the ceiling level of the MACC IDIQ by $65 million from $96 million to $161 million. This increase allows for continued mission essential work to be performed at Joint Base Charleston until the end of the period of performance of 14 May 2029. Joint Base Charleston intends to award a follow-on MACC in 2027. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on quotes or offers received in response to this notice. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet this requirement by 1:00PM EST on 11 May 2026. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The purpose of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided.
