This survey is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this notice. Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking to identify qualified sources under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 237110 � Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction in Detroit, Michigan. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement for this requirement. Based on the responses to this Sources Sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted nor acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is for market research purposes only. This project involves the removal of corporation stops and portions of lead service lines located within the public right-of-way areas across various neighborhoods in the City of Detroit. The primary focus is on 1,200 confirmed locations of lead lines within the right-of-way. Historically, at demolition sites, the lead service lines remained connected to the water main, where they were cut at the structure, crimped at the cut, and then abandoned in place underground. GIS mapping, overlaying the inventory of existing lead service lines with a list of previously demolished properties, will be provided. As stipulated in Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.201, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought is voluntary and will not be returned. The Government will not reimburse any costs incurred or associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. Additional company capability information is welcome. Your company�s response is limited to 5 pages.
