Description
This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-l(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to solicit and award a Fixed Price contract on a limited competition basis between Designed Metal Connections, Inc. (dba Permaswage USA) (CAGE Code 14798) and its authorized distributors for the purchase of Hydraulic Tube Repair Set, Titanium, P/N: DAT02AEFKT4024. This item will support the NAVAIR CH-53K Program and the Israel Foreign Military Sales Program for maintenance operations at the O-Level of maintenance for the CH-53K Aircraft. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source and authorized distributors under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" for this action. Permaswage USA as the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the Hydraulic Tube Repair Set, Titanium, P/N: DAT02AEFKT4024, owns the proprietary data and as such is the only source with the knowledge and expertise necessary to manufacture the Hydraulic Tube Repair Set, Titanium, P/N: DAT02AEFKT4024. The Government does not have the technical data or equipment to obtain this item from an alternate source. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
