THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD. This Notice is to announce that the Department of Veteran Affairs, Consolidated Mail-Out Phamacy (CMOP) national office is proposing a firm fixed price contract with Monnit Corp on a sole source basis for iMonnit Cloud environmental monitoring system. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) and VAAR 819.7007. The reason justifying this sole source procurement is that Monnit is the only company who can provide services compatible with the existing Monnit equipment, which would be cost prohibitive to replace. Background: This procurement is for CMOP-wide deployment of iMonnit Premiere Cloud, activation of cloud tenancy, and shipment of Monnit cellular gateways compatible with existing sensors. Gateways will be self-installed and configured by CMOP staff. Monnit will provide necessary subscriptions and limited OEM support to enable enterprise-level cloud monitoring.
