Description
Please note that this is not a request for proposal nor a request for quote as there is no solicitation document available. Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract with Instymeds. LINE ITEM 0001- InstyMeds System including purchase of Dispenser LINE ITEM 0002- Professional Installation Danville VA Medical Center has a requirement for Instymed Dispenser Cabinet (IDC). The Instymed dispenser cabinets will be used in the Pharmacy Dispensing System to assist in the timely deliverance of medications from initiation order from provider to delivery to patient. VA Illiana Pharmacy Service is requesting four InstyMed Medication Dispensing System for Urgent Care, the Springfield CBOC, the Mattoon CBOC, and the Bloomington CBOC. InstyMed is a sole source. No other device is available that meets the specifications and has approved integration with Vista through DSS. In the event Cerner is implemented, InstyMed can be converted to interface with Cerner. InstyMed provides point of care dispensing of medications to the patient through an automated system. The system allows for location specific formulary, self-contained distribution system, real time inventory tracking, and system for repackaging for dispensing through InstyMeds Additional features: integrated recall and expired drug management and 24x7 customer support.
