Description

Construction Project: ***BID OPENING IS SCHEDULED FOR 29 AUGUST 2019 AT 1000 AM. Please see attached solicitation for details. The Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District, proposes to perform maintenance dredging in sections of the Quillayute River Federal navigation channel and boat basin via a hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredge (at least 12 inch discharge pipe). The Quillayute River navigation project is located in LaPush, WA. The Federal project consists of a 3,500 feet long channel and a 1,070 feet long and 313 feet wide small boat basin. The authorized project depth is -10 feet MLLW. The proposed action will remove approximately 61,000 cubic yards of material, to the project depth, plus two feet allowable overdepth, from the channel and the small boat basin. Proposed locations planned for dredging are determined based on project needs, specifically the bathymetry and shoaling above project authorization available for dredging. Dredged material will be placed on Rialto/Quillayute spit (Site B) beneficial placement site. Interested parties should be familiar with the weather and river conditions for this project location, including an understanding of the tides and currents in the work area. Work would begin no sooner than 1 September 2019 and all in-water work must be completed by 29 February 2020. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. The solicitation will be open to both large and small businesses. See the attached solicitation for details about bid opening.
