Description

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) is looking to identify potential sources and requesting information pertaining to interested vendors that possess the capability of completing replacement of an obsolete portion of existing inventory of the Stationary Magnetic Particle Unit (SMPU) (NSN: 6636-01-362-9184, PN: GB-3509-01). The Government intends to replace the obsolete portion of existing inventory with the same model and PN as the remaining portion in order to maintain capability, supply support, and tech manual coverage. The Government does not own the complete build-to-print technical data to compete the requirement for new production units. The Government is seeking industry input to assist in identifying features and approaches to meet the general requirements described above. Please note that the Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties responding to this RFI. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Interested sources should provide this SMPU information and related data to Paras Patel, paras.d.patel.civ@us.navy.mil, no later than 7 days (with the reference being sooner) after the post date of this RFI. All information sent should reference this RFI number on the subject response line of the emailed response as well as on all enclosed documents. Responses must include the company name, address, point of contact name and email/phone, and company size. Proprietary data MUST be marked on a page-by-page basis and will be kept confidential and protected where so designated. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. Respondents may provide information and Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROM) on any currently available product or a company's' capabilities that will meet the Navy's requirements. Responses must be received no later than March 13, 2026 by 4pm EST.
