Description

NASA intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis with LECTRODRYER pursuant to authority of FAR 12.102. Lectrodryer is the original equipment manufacturer for the HPB?600 dryer units and is the only source with the proprietary design knowledge, specialized refurbishment capability, and access to OEM specific components such as the main globe valves, instrumentation upgrades, custom fabricated piping required, etc. for compatibility with the existing system. The refurbishment scope relies on OEM expertise, proprietary parts, and integration with previously supplied Lectrodryer equipment, making alternative vendors unable to match the technical, compatibility, and safety requirements of the original equipment. To award before end of FY26. Company Name: Lectrodryer UEI: L39UVL15JSJ7 This is not a request for proposal. This notice is a notice of intent to sole source procurement and under FAR 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement by the notice closing date. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at : https://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/procurement/regs/Procurement-Ombuds-Comp-Advocate-Listing.pdf
