Description

Question (Black) / Response (Red) Could you please clarify if the project requires both types of fascias, or if only the curved fabric fascia will be required? Response: The contract calls for an anti-ligature window shade. The Basis of Design (does not indicate a preferred vendor of the VA) includes a fascia that is a security box that holds the window treatment to prevent tampering within the behavioral health unit. All bidders should verify that selection they choose whether it includes fascia or not, is anti-ligature. The preference for the VA would be both. Square and curved, however, all options are welcome if it is anti-ligature. Solicitation specifies Webblok Shade System and WT Shades CF200 SoloMount (basis of design). Does VA requires these exact brands, or will equal products meeting salient characteristics (anti-ligature, solar fabric WT 243 3% openness, GREENGUARD/NFPA 701 certified, custom arched fascia) be acceptable? If proposing equals, we understand sample/demo required within 2 weeks of submission. Response: Correct Do we need to take down the valences? Response: Yes, per statement of work. Existing items need to be removed. What do we need to do with the arch? Do you want it to be the same material? Response: Statement of work mentions custom fascia for the arch. VA would like the valence to be the same material. What you have on the Basis of Design is Inpro. Do they do a custom fascia? Response: Please reach out to Inpro directly, but if necessary, custom fabrication for the arched valences is approved. What is the current vendor of the shades? Response: We do not know. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED.
