Description

(1) INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to conduct market research to determine whether responsible sources exist capable of providing one (1) Vitronics Soltec Centurion CT820 Reflow Oven and one (1) Electrovert Aquastorm 160 In-Line Printed Circuit Board Cleaning System, including installation and training, in support of the Airborne Instrumentation Division SMT production line located at Point Mugu, CA. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy. (2) CONTRACT TYPE The Government anticipates award of a Commercial Firm-Fixed-Price contract. (3) PROCUREMENT TYPE The Government anticipates a sole-source acquisition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. ITW EAE is the intended source. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. (4) CONTRACTOR RESPONSE Any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response referencing solicitation number N6893626Q5150 and provide a capability statement clearly demonstrating the ability to provide equipment meeting the Government's requirements without compromising quality, reliability, compatibility, or schedule. (5) DISCLAIMER THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
