U.S. Army DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) Battery Forum: Accelerating the Adoption of Commercial Battery Technologies in Defense Platforms Thursday, July 30, 2026 Automation Alley, In-Person Only: 2675 Bellingham Dr, Troy, MI � Check-In: 9:00 a.m. � Presentations: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Purpose and Topics: � GVSC partnered with CALSTART to conduct an independent market survey to identify challenges that often slow the adoption of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) battery systems into military platforms. This event will provide a forum to discuss the findings from this market survey. � Share with industry efforts and findings related to the JumpStart for Advanced Battery Standardization (JABS) program. Focused discussion on Navy Safety testing that was conducted during JABS efforts. � Share with industry efforts to improve overall battery safety that are being carried out at GVSC. � Enable industry to share perspectives directly with GVSC subject matter experts and leadership. � Enable GVSC to respond to industry questions, challenges and concerns. � U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) is the U.S. Army�s Research, Development and Engineering Center for all Ground Vehicle and Ground Vehicle Systems technology and integration. GVSC welcomes critical feedback and suggestions from industry as part of this exchange to inform future iterations for ground vehicle systems and architectures. � General information about GVSC can be found at: https://gvsc.devcom.army.mil/ Registration Information: � Online registration period: June 22, 2026 � July 17, 2026 or until capacity is reached.
