Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed contract that consists of Maintenance dredging under this contract. Contract work consists of maintenance dredging in the Townsends Inlet to Cape May Inlet, NJ : a. Placing approximately 231,000 cubic yards of beachfill, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline in the Borough of Avalon, Cape May County, New Jersey. b. Placing approximately 464,000 cubic yards of beachfill, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline in the Borough of Stone Harbor, Cape May County, New Jersey. c. Re-grading of existing dunes within the project limits to minimize areas with significantly steep landward slopes. Re-graded areas will be planted with dune grass or other appropriate vegetation. d. Placing additional quantities of sand in the Boroughs of Avalon and Stone Harbor based on project needs and availability of funding. Contract will include 4 options for each community for sand quantities of 175,000 cy, 100,000 cy, 50,000 cy and 25,000 cy. The period of performance for the base contract will be 167 calendar days for base work and all options. Estimated cost range of the project is $25,000,000 to $100,000,000. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. DO NOT STAPLE SOLICITATION. Solicitation must be printed on one side. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the official U.S. government website for people who make, receive, and manage federal awards.
