Description

The FAA intends to issue a single source five-year firm fixed price contract for Challenger 605 aircraft technical maintenance training to ensure continued airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance for its fleet of Bombardier Challenger aircraft. There is only one vendor that is authorized by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) as a 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 142 Training Center. Contracting for maintenance training with a Training Center certificated under 14 CFR Part 142 ensures that the vendor receives regular oversight and quality control. Training must align with current technical manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory requirements applicable to the Challenger 600 series aircraft and the Flight Program Operations FAA-approved 14 CFR Part 135 maintenance program. The vendor shall provide all personnel, materials, instruction, and equipment necessary to provide this training. Any questions and concerns should be directed to the Contracting Officer William Boyer at william.e.boyer@faa.gov or Contract Specialist, Tammy Claiborne at Tammy.R.Claiborne@faa.gov.
