Description
The Contractor will provide Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) services to include offsite (remote) Board-Certified Neurophysiologist Physician(s) services and onsite IONM Technologist(s) services in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center (BWCVAMC), Miami VA Healthcare System (MVAHCS). The Contractor will provide complete IONM services on an as needed, case-by-case basis, for patients within the operating room under the direct medical care of the Surgical Service. The IONM services must be able to cover complex surgical procedures such as: Spine surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Orthopedics, and if necessary, Interventional Neuroradiology. The Contractor will provide experienced personnel to cover scheduled and emergency cases seven (7) days a week, 24 hours per day including federal holidays. Required services must include complete IONM services for monitoring the spinal cords, nerve functioning during surgeries, certified technician(s), Board-Certified Neurophysiologist oversight, IONM System equipment and common supplies (needle electrodes, probes, ground pad, gel electrodes, cortical screw electrodes) in support of BWCVAHCS, Surgical service.
