Description

The objective of the Audit is to inform US Capitol Power Plant (CPP) management regarding the current conditions and operational practices within the utility tunnels in terms of safety and health compliance to local, state, and federal regulations. The Audit shall identify and document all current areas of non-compliance. Findings shall address condition changes as related to past reports, new deterioration or safety concerns, and the probable cause. The report shall also identify if there is a potential for tunnel or pipe failure or other imminent concerns. The report shall also address noted changes in the condition of the tunnel as it relates to past reports or audits, including but not limited to the acceleration of concrete spalling de-laminations, cracks, damages to pipe insulation, and conditions of electrical conduits. The Audit Report shall contain digital photograph(s). Health and Safety Audits shall be completed under the direction of a Certified Industrial Hygienist and/or Safety Specialist, and Mechanical and Electrical Engineer(s).
