Description
CONTRACT INFORMATION: This is a pre-solicitation notice for a stand-alone contract to provide demolition and construction of an existing Fuels Management and Laboratory Facility, Eielson AFB, Alaska. This acquisition is a competitive 8(a) solicitation. North American Industrial Classification System code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Industry. A solicitation will be available on this site and PIEE on or about 21 April 2025. The performance period will be approximately 730 calendar days. The Government intends to award one contract. The estimated magnitude of this contract will be between $10,000,000.00 - $25,000,000.00. The procurement will be conducted using source selection procedures and the award will be based on best value tradeoff source selection procedures, considering the price and non-price factors cited in this announcement and the solicitation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a FY25 design bid build project that will replace the existing Fuels Management and Laboratory Facility (B3242). Demolish the existing facility, B3242 (1,615 SF). Construct a new 4,014 SF facility, complete with laboratory, ready room for fuel operations, administrative offices, fuel control center, restrooms and locker rooms, conference/classroom, operations maintenance room, emergency eye wash & shower, and bulk storage room. Construction of the building shall consist of steel frame with split-face masonry exterior walls and a pitched metal roof. The foundation shall meet relevant arctic and seismic requirements, and all necessary site and utilities work is included. It shall include arctic design components including additional thickness in exterior walls, arctic vestibules, and covered entrances. Anticipated NTP: 24 July 2025 with a 730 calendar-day period of performance; the Davis Bacon Act will apply.
