THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTATIONS. A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUSLY INTERESTED AND IF YOU DO NOT PERFORM THIS REQUIREMENT. IT WILL DELAY THE POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION DUE TO FURTHER MARKET RESEARCH THAT WILL BE REQUIRED. Responses must be received no later than March 25, 2026. Interested vendors must also add their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in www.sam.gov Contract Opportunity (must be logged-in to your vendor account). The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed price construction contract for a project entitled Upgrade Health Services Elevator, at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI Englewood), located in Littleton, CO. FCI Englewood is a federally owned facility located at 9595 W. Quincy Ave., Littleton, CO 80123. The project consists of the following: FCI Englewood, intends to procure services for a comprehensive modernization of the Health Services passenger elevator (ELEV?01?ENG). The existing OTIS traction/cable elevator (3,000?lb capacity, 3 stops, Motion Control VFMC?1000?PTC controller) will undergo a full overhaul including replacement of obsolete controllers, drive systems, hoist machine, motor, brake, governor systems, ropes, wiring, communication systems, and associated safety equipment. Work includes installation of new microprocessor?based controls, ACVVVF drive equipment, emergency braking devices, seismic components, door equipment, signal fixtures, two?way communication systems, and machine?room upgrades. The contractor will refurbish or replace hoistway components, provide new hoistway door panels, update restricted?floor security features, and ensure compliance with ASME A17.1, applicable building codes, and all performance requirements (speed, leveling, door timing, noise/vibration limits). FCI Englewood is a United States federal prison for male inmates. See the Statement of Work/Specifications attachments for the complete requirements of the work. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238290 with a corresponding small business size standard of $22 million.
