Description

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award to Comcast of Maryland Limited Partnership, One Comcast Center, 1701 JFK BLVD. Philadelphia PA 19103-2838 for continued internet and cable tv services. There will be service interruption and additional infrastructure requirements if the service is procured through another provider as Comcast has the current infrastructure built at the sites, including the point of entry for the service. Additionally, the operation and maintenance for the WiFi infrastructure at the sample storage facility is dependent on the Comcast service level agreement already in place. The procurement of another provider would delay restoration of services. Comcast is the only one responsible source that is able to satisfy agency requirements. The award would be for a base period of one (1) year and four (4) twelve-month option periods, if exercised each year, will run sequentially. CPSC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(b)(2)(B). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart 12 & FAR Subpart 13 procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within seven (7) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government to not compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any quotation/response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist Lydia Glasgow, lglasgow@cpsc.gov and Contracting Officer Ankur Patel, apatel@cpsc.gov by 10am Eastern Time December 8, 2025. No phone calls will be accepted.
