Description

Notice of Intent for Sole Source The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park (RTP) in Durham, North Carolina intends to award, on a sole source basis, to Beckman Coulter, Inc. Life Sciences in accordance with RFO 6.103-1(b) to purchase Protective EMA for the Echo 550 Acoustic Liquid Handler. This procurement is recommended to be processed without full and open competition. EPA�s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention Office of Mission Critical Operations, Risk Assessment Support Division�s Laboratory is needing a Protective equipment maintenance agreement (EMA) for the Echo 550 acoustic liquid handler, which is needed to ensure proper equipment performance and reliability. This equipment is vital for high-throughput assay automation to generate data for many aspects of OCSPP�s mission to gain knowledge about chemicals and their associated effects on human health and the environment. The Beckman Coulter Protective EMA for the Echo 550 acoustic liquid handler shall include: One annual preventative maintenance visit. Unlimited phone, email, and remote support sessions. All parts, site labor, zone charges and per diem charges. Software bug fixes for Echo user interface software and applications software. The initial service response time is not to exceed (8) business hours. The onsite service response time will not exceed (3) business days after all remote diagnostic sessions have been exhausted and both parties agree a service visit is required. All parts and services retain a (90) day warranty from the date of installation. This Notice of Intent is not a request for proposals. This notice of intent is for information purposes only; therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
