Description
Infrared Imaging, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of two (2) advanced Hyper-spectral Imaging Systems (HIS). These Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Spatially Resolved Infrared Spectrometer (SpIRS) systems will support the 782nd Test Squadron (Seekers and Sensors Test Flight) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The systems include a Short-Wave/Mid-Wave Infrared (SWIR/MWIR) unit and a Mid-Wave/Long-Wave Infrared (MWIR/LWIR) unit. This procurement includes the hyper-spectral imagers, associated telescope assemblies, acquisition computers, analysis software, and required on-site installation and training. The period of performance for delivery is 36 weeks after the receipt of the order. Statutory Authority and Rationale for Other Than Full and Open Competition: This contract action was not awarded competitively. This acquisition was conducted on a sole-source basis with a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern in accordance with the statutory authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1406, Sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Market research determined that only one manufacturer's product met the Government's minimum requirements, and only one responsible SDVOSB.
