THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Health and Human Services intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances deem only one source is reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization).: Beckman Coulter. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811210, Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J066, Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Instruments and Laboratory Equipment. The object of this sole source award is to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to maintain and provide preventive maintenance for the following equipment: Beckman Coulter Cytoflex S Instrument. The Lymphoid Malignancies Branch focuses on to elucidate the mechanisms by which lymphomas develop and identify therapeutic vulnerabilities in lymphoid malignancies using in vivo and in vitro models and whole genome CRISPR screens of lymphoma cell lines. A Beckman Coulter Cytoflex S Instrument is utilized for these efforts. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within five (5) calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
